Reeder Custom Guns - Time for some gunsmithing...

The Sharps wonderful set trigger stopped working. Must be something broken. They are relatively simple devices. A spring powers a piece of metal that whacks the trigger/sear bar, sort of like a mouse trap. It feels like it is "setting" the spring may be broken. I'll know more when I get in there. I need to whack the sights to the right and get windage regulated too. The 500+ gr. bullet at 1025 fps was dropping about 6" or so at 100 yds., it looked like.

I've thought about one of those long range tang sights but honestly they are used little and get in the way. The rear has a flip up with elevator to 500 yds. anyway. The "White" muzzle loader website lists Pedersoli vernier tang sights for $100 a copy, VERY cheap if they actually have them. FYI

They are not repeatable and don’t work well. MVA are top of the line, Hoke, Kelley or Baldwin are not bad

Steve Baldwin's shop is about 30 miles north of me, he worked on a few rifles for me and he's a heckuva guy, his shop is awesome has CNC's and manual machines. I've never seen a set of his sights though, I thought about getting into those old black powder cartridge guns once upon a time but figured I was getting in way over my head so that was that.

a NY Shiloh sight with documentation. It's $300 but sure goes with the gun. I figure it would likely add that value and hold it. They look to me to be manual elevation with indices. Not mechanical.
