It all started with a torn groin in 2012, had a huge clot in my right leg, broke loose ended up in the hospital for 3 days. Started on xaralto for several years, but had trouble with too much bloody noses. Been on eliquis for several years much better. Was jobless for 4 months so no insurance, it is 500 + a month. The starter pack the started me on today was 639 thank God my son and inlaws took care of it. My new job insurance from my new job starts Dec 1st.
For $500 a month you were playing Russian

Roulette with one empty chamber. I wouldn't consider going even one day without my blood thinning medication no matter what it costs. Yes God was in this to save you from yourself. Also thank God your son is taking care of you now. If I haven't been blunt enough I will say it again. What you did is very dumb! I would also bet you could have gotten your medication for no cost if you talk to the right people.
most of the stores like Walgreens participate in

a Gvmt plan where the Feds pay something like 85% of the cost of medicines. Not sure what it is called but a good friend who has cancer takes a chemo pill every 12 hours and it runs $2500 a month and he is in that plan.
