I received a call from a friend who was at a local gunshop

about an hour or so from here. They had primers, gunpowder, bullets .. reloading stuff. I didn't need any primers but I did have him pick me up some CCI percussion caps. I was down to about 300 or so and while I am not shooting it all that much, it's nice to have plenty on hand.

It's nice to know some stuff is showing up now and then.

Good friends spread the word.

It's good to hear that more supplies are hitting the shelves. I'm STILL waiting on my backorder of 327 Magnum brass to be manufactured, 10 months out so far. When I dug into the cache last summer it was a relief to find more primers and powder than I remembered having stored there. And am set for projectiles for most calibers we shoot. But it's good to hear supplies are picking up again, especially percussion caps. That's not an item I'd have expected to go missing so quickly and easily, but only found about 500 or so the whole time up north.

Dixie Gun Works has them for sale .

Can only order 500 ..with the $30 Hazmat fee and shipping it gets quite pricey ..so I was happy to find some locally.

How much were they running?

I saw some CCI caps the other day for $12.99 per tin. I haven’t bought any in a while, is that close to the going price now?

If I remember correct they were $12.50 or $12.55 ....

I paid $15 for 100 "magnum" caps, don't recall the brand off the top of my head. They were the first I saw after looking all over SWMO. Then I found some CCI (if I recall correctly) standard No. 11's for about $7/100 and picked up three tins. Never thought I'd be paying that much for caps, but in the current situation you're often left grabbing whatever comes around for the price they're asking.

we are getting small amounts of powder in but

have yet to get any primers in other than what we got on a recent estate we picked up. One of the primer makers said they made 100 million primers in the last short while, but we haven't seen any.
