guys have planned for this fall and winter? I will start it off. I have a Brown Bear hunt on my bucket list but my bear guide George Faerber has retired and I am still trying to convince him to do one more hunt.
So what hunt or hunts do you have planned?

10 years ago I killed a gold medal (168) deer in my drive way. I am going to kill another good buck this year!

but a black bear hunt soon would make me very happy.
Would use either my .44 magnum or my .454 Casull.

Around the 1st of December. A friend lives on a thousand acres south of Abilene and I plan on heading up there with the .41 Magnum and a backup gun for just in case. Not sure if I will take the .44 Special or the .357 Magnum. Maybe I will take both!

Doug and I are still mulling over Africa, and

Doug just loved Alaska. My battery of long guns go mostly unused (.338 and .416). We have even talked over some guided "bird" hunts with shotguns for something more pampering and different.

I still have a desire to take Pronghorn with a handgun. My 7mm GNR, .378 GNR (cheating a bit), .256 Falcon, .240 Raptor all are more than up to the task. I only have to choose a good bullet and point the thing.

For hogs and deer. I have enough points to do both. But it won’t be till next fall/ winter. I really like doing a solo hunt over a few days. I like doing all my own cooking, and camping. Cleaning and butchering the game. Solo time in the woods. Make you feel young again

Deer, small game, coyote, possibly black bear

coyotes are at the top of my list. I’ve seen a significant drop in the number of deer on our farm here in PA this year and several of the neighboring farms are seeing the same thing. Last week one of the neighbors saw a young deer being chased by a coyote late in the evening while he was archery hunting. Yesterday I watched a young buck walking along the edge of our woods and about 15 minutes later a coyote was on his trail. Too far for me to stick an arrow in. My oldest son shot a female coyote last week and set up a trap line this week. I just pulled my old .22-250 Ackley Improved out of the safe and plan on doing my part to thin out the coyote population around our place....the other farmers and their kids are going to do likewise.

Still recovering from the strokes last year. Caribou next

are so close to fantastic hunting in Canada. Bummer is no handguns allowed. I’ve gone on a few really great Canadian Elk hunts, so I used an antique 1874 Shiloh Sharps. Not quite as good as using a 1873 SA designed revolver, but more satisfying than using a scoped bolt gun.

I recently went in my first elk hunt. I have waited 26 years to go. I saw over 100 elk, but only one on public land An illegal spike 223 yards, all the rest were over the fence on private. Public land DIY, in Colorado. I did the best I could but came home with nothing. Maybe sometime I can go again.

If possible after all my surgeries!
