I just talked to Alcorn Russell about Africa. Alcorn has

until sometime tomorrow as it is Sunday in Africa and he can't get in touch with the government concession folks until tomorrow. But if this works out I have Doug Faith and Nate Henning lined up so far to go. Nate is my main man here in the shop, and both he and Doug have been to Africa with me in the past and are anxious to go again.

I had an e-mail about wives on this hunt. That is fine as long as they are hunting wives, not just there to see the game and take pictures. The camps are small and no extra room for non hunting folks. John has to hire extra professional hunters plus pay the extra fees for every hunter in camp.

On this hunt I will probably have room for 10 or 12 hunters. I won't know exactly until I hear from John on which camp we will be hunting out of. We are tentatively figuring around the first of April. Hopefully I will know more tomorrow. April is their fall and the best time to hunt Africa as it is cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoon. Our summer is their winter and July and August can be mighty cold there during that time. Plus their seasons open in March so the game is not spooked and wild.

But with my bad leg I don't know what I could do? Maybe sit at a water hole in a ground blind?
