Further to my previous email herewith more info and suggestions.

I can handle a group of ten hunters. We could do an awesome Eastern Cape coastal hunt to include many species the guys do not have. We could do it April 5 to 14.

We can keep the daily rates as per all the previous safaris at $450 per hunter per day. There is a license fee of $150 per hunter

Caracal we hunt with Dogs and the fee per day for the dogs is $400 Often we can get multiple cats in a day.
Blue Duiker we can hunt over bait but I only have 4 tags for this, the rest can be hunted with dogs and shotguns for those not hung up on handguns. Rates for these dog packs is $400 per day. Really a fun hunt with all the Jack Russells.

cover pretty much everything except the cost of each animal. The daily rate covers your meals, your room, your daily clean clothes service (the camp girls wash and dry your clothes every day), the trackers, the skinners, the use of the Land Cruisers and so on. In other words if you got there for 7 days and never shot an animal you don't owe anything but your daily rates. The daily rate is $450 a day and there is a hunting license of $150 so that totals out to $3300. That's it. If you do hunt then each animal is priced separately. In other words if you shoot a baboon, then the cost is $750 or whatever the baboon costs. If you shoot a Kudu then that cost us $3900 or so. If you hunt a 60" Kudu for 7 days and never find one you don't owe for that Kudu. You only pay for the animals you kill. So realistically you could shoot a Blesbok, Grey Duiker, Impala, Springbok, and warthog, that works out to $4000 and that is 5 of the most popular animals in Africa. Your Daily rate with license is $3300, so you have had a full week of hunting in Africa for $7300. Plus your airfare which averages around $1500.
Another good thing is you don't get charged for the animals right away. Usually Lauri, John's wife, tallies up what you owe and e-mails you a bill. You can take a couple of months to pay if you need to. Your daily rates are split in half. The first half is due on signing the contract and the last half just before you go on the hunt.

As far as the taxidermy is concerned that usually takes a year or a bit more. You can have the hides cleaned and shipped to your taxidermy or have it done in Africa by Life Form taxidermy. Again they get a deposit and the rest isn't due for a year or more.
So contrary to popular belief you don't have to spend $20,000 to go to Africa.
