the day and is still a great way to throat a barrel. Our Maxi Throat is more designed for the longer heavier bullets of today. Most barrels have the rifling beginning at the end of the barrel and most with jagged edges that will distort a bullet plus jack up the pressures. Our Maxi Throat is like a funnel. The bullet enters the barrel smoothly and eases into the rifling. The entire bullet is normally in the barrel before it encounters the rifling. Tests have shown that it eases the pressures considerably and in most cases the accuracy is considerably better with the combination of the Maxi Throat, the Deep Dish Crown and an action job, usually cutting the group in half.
