shipping analysis

I have some time while in Rehab and have been analyzing our supposed West coast Port back up problem. There are many ships waiting to unload at the two Los Angeles major ports. while that is true, I do not understand why the Port of Oakland is almost empty and the Port of San Diego is looking for business, a shame since it is close to I-10, a major interstate highway. Seattle and Tacoma ports are operating normally, I was there in September. If a shipper wants to, he could go to the Port of Vancouver or Prince Rupert in British Columbia to unload containers, and ship East via Canadian National rail to Chicago, or Montreal, or New York or New Orleans. I get the feeling that the administration either knows what is going on or is part of the back up. I can not believe our Secretary of Transportation, he is either dumber than a box of rocks or ignoring what goes on.
The fool did there is an increase of road accidents caused by Covid and wants to lower speed limits and put more stuff in cars to prevent them. People are driving nuts because there are less cops on the road to stop them! Boy, two more years of this?
