to get out. The spring that holds it in the holster is leather covered and holds it tight. You simply pull the gun forward and that's it. The long strap goes over your back and over the off shoulder and down to your belt and it attaches to the belt. The shoulder strap is wide and does not dig into your shoulder or neck. The cup at the bottom of the holster lets the muzzle of the gun sit in there. It is solid at the bottom so the muzzle doesn't stick out. It has 2 leather thongs at the bottom of the holster to tie down to your belt under the holster so it is stationary on both sides. I have them in right hand and left hand in sizes for a 6 or 6.5 barrel or 7" to 8" barrel and made for large frame single actions like the Super Blackhawk or large frame double actions like the Redhawk or S&W model 27, or 57. More are being made for shorter barrels and I am having more made for the revolvers that have the wide underlug.
