A few months ago I picked up an Old Model Flat Top Ruger 357

and have been playing with it. These are my favorite Ruger single action ... same size as the Colt SAA but with better steel and better springs. This one was made in 1958 and is in pretty decent shape.

Seems to shoot pretty well if I can do what I need to do.

from an estate sale a few years ago, and it is a great shooter and such a handy size. points so well.

I've had a hankerin' for one of those for a while...

so I swipe my brother-in-law's OM Blackhawk in 357 whenever we're up north. Shucks the only time HE ever shoots it is when I take him to the range. Weird thing, I've never owned a 357 of any description, but have shot his a lot over the years. Those old flat tops just "look right". His is the next model after yours and is decently accurate with whatever I feed through it. He called me up from the gun show years back to ask me what I thought. I thought he should buy it, so he did. :-D The problem is convincing him to sell it to me. The next best thing is to simply take custody of it while traveling up there.

Sounds like you got a good deal going there!
