It started life as a .44 Super Blackhawk. My friend Jack Pender had Bowen build it into a full custom .41 Magnum. Jack never got to shoot it, passing away from cancer before he had a chance to shoot it. John Taffin and I were asked to do his funeral. Afterwards his son gave me the pistol and said, "Daddy wanted you to have this." He gave John a beautiful Sadowski Target pistol.
The .41 has always been extremely accurate. I had Gary do some some work on it. He installed the "set back" trigger and built a new cylinder after I bulged one chamber. (with a factory load that was WAY over pressure)
I had Milt Morrison change it to a Bisley grip frame and hammer.
I have killed a truckload of deer, pigs and on elk with this gun. I shot the Cow Elk at one of Gary's Handgun hunts a few years ago.
