make a great gun for your grandmother. If you want a Glock 380, buy the model 42.
Years ago when the Glock first came out the gun shop owners in central Florida were invited to a couple of days in Tampa to premier the Glock 17. I spend my first encounter with Glocks at that armorers course. They showed us the Glock 17, how to take it apart and put it all back together. At the end of the first day we had taken the model 17 apart and re-assembled it a dozen times. The next morning, our last day of the course, they gave each of us (maybe 20 guys) 2 Glock 17s. They told us to take them apart. We sat as desks and we made sure to keep all the parts of each gun separate and away from the other gun. After we got all of them apart, the instructor and his 3 assistants leaned down and using both hands mixed all the parts into one big pile. I almost shit. Then he said for us to go ahead and assemble a gun, which we did. Then he said to assemble another on with the parts left over, which we did. That was when we found out that all the Glock 17 parts were the same gun for gun.
At the end of the day he showed us the model 18, the full auto 380, but told us it was not going to be released in the states. He said it was going to Europe and South America, where the law enforcement were only allowed to have small caliber guns.
The model 25 is just like that, aimed at the South American law enforcement. Sorta like the Japanese cops. They are finally allowed to carry guns, but they are 25 auto.
