Boy what a mess. Crusty, 30” full choke “magnum” barrel on a std. chassis. 10-12 shot mag extension to match and side saddle carrier for 6 more. Horrifically gawky pistol grip tactical stock sure to get in the way or whack your cheek mounting quickly. Gets hung on everything.

Accessorized by sight, things that looked cool and bad ass. In reality it made the gun very heavy and unwieldy. The 30” will have to go. I need a short handy rig. It should trade well. Doug had a 870 buttstock that I fitted making a spacer bushing. The 870 Mag cap fit the 1100 fine. I have a stock 870 Mag spring someplace that should work too.

If I wanted to get fancy I could refinish the metal. But for a behind the door or truck gun it’s looking better already. 1100’s are some of the finest autoloaders ever. Just a little mechanical maintenance every 20 yrs or so should keep them running. I have one other 1100, a 20 on the 12 chassis. My dads last hunting shotgun I bought him.

Looks a lot better. You should keep

That crazy charging handle in honor of the previous owner!

It’s not too bad, if it gets hung on something

It will be plucked right out. On a 1100 you just pinch the bolt handle and give it a wiggle and tug, out it comes! Lol. Fun in the dove field to impress your hunting buddy. Lol

Remington barrels are bringing more that I would have give for the whole gun! It’s crazy.

A mag barrel has two ports and won’t shoot less than stiff 1-1/4 oz. rounds. I need the standard tube.
