As I posted a pic of the old railway across our old farm. It was still pretty cleared in the early 1970's. I have some pictures from publications of the actual train that ran the line mostly. Also some construction shots, 120 yrs. ago (1902 when it began).

The lower shot, I am almost positive is going across our old farm (looking North). It's the only place in this area where there is a dug trestle. I have never seen any of the men photographed with any sidearms etc. This was not the wild west, men got work where they could and worked from about 4 a.m. till dark. Houses were smaller as you only went there to sleep. No time to lounge around.

This is looking south, about 200-300 yds. north of where I believe the lower previous picture is taken.
