Yamaha wanted him to ride for them waaay back. I could maybe get the front wheel up with my bike if I hit a ramp at 50. Spare kidneys not included.

the aggressive arthritis. Wish I could still handle a dirt bike.

This little 250lb 250cc bike is about all I can handle. Some Chinese copy of a Honda single 4-stroke with pushrods and Keihin carb, oil filter is a screen. Simple. Most all the rest is done by Amish 2nd/3rd tier parts supplier, tank welded up by Amish boys not old enough for a buggy license.

Tear'em up this spring. Do it while you still can.

folk were still entering them in scrambles. Every kind of bike imaginable lined up across a field waiting for the flag to drop, and a lot of those ex-GIs would still wheel a 45 cross country in an impressive manner.

some health issues, business issues, lots of pressure and stress. I bought that 1982 for $500 and spent about $1000 on it restoring it to competition condition. The gas tank split and that alone cost $275 for a replacement. I ran it in a Hare Scrambles AHRMA National in 2018. Crashed twice, the idle screw fell out of the carb making a air rich hole in the side. But I finished. It was a real nice diversion and helped my mental state. It still does. lol I graduated high school in 1981 so time wise it is a nice fit. I'm able to run in 200cc (175) class Post-vintage. She only weighs about 200 lbs. so it's really nice in the thick woods.

came out, I think the YZ? My mid-1970s XT still had dual rear. That is a bike I miss, Rode it from Mississippi down to the Keys and back, dirt roads as much as possible. You picked a great stress buster, Buster.
