I was able to take a javelina this morning with my 378 gnr. I found a pair feeding in some tall grass and was able to use a juniper branch as a rest for a 50 yard shot. [image]

Is one of the best recepies for javelina along with chorizo but lately I've been curing and smoking them for ham. You absolutely can not taste a difference between javelina and any ham you would by at a store. I do the front legs bone-in and just pull all the meat off after smoking.

around my place just west of where you were hunting .they are a big nusance tearing up small trees getting into everything lately a few of the big ones have been acting aggressive i've applyed for a permit to kill the aggressive ones although if one charges me again[it's happened twice] i'm just going to have to shoot it
