My good friend of 30 years was killed Thursday afternoon, he just turned 72. I'd spoken to him not 30 minutes prior. He was supposed to come up the next day for lunch and some more good times. We were going to the gun store to tire kick and coon finger new stuff. We have a grand time with guns, motorcycles, trading both, and history.

It was a beautiful day and he hopped on his new Kawasaki KLR650. He loved the bike. Headed to his girlfriends house not too far away, a dog ran in front of him. He hit the dog and they flipped forward over it. The bike landed atop him. Helmet, jacket, protective gear no matter. His number came up. A 500 lb. fly-swat, pow. No more Bill. I'm confident with his relationship with Jesus, he's with some glorious company, but I sure will miss him.

He had lots of cool stuff too. For what, now. It really makes you think.

God speed and RIP Bill Miles.

I don't think they will want to keep Bills '73 Trident 750 that is in pristine condition nor his perfect SX650 special. Thousands of dollars in guns. No matter now. He had no children. Everything he had was spotless. I told him he was going to rub the paint off his stuff fretting over it. lol

Sorry Scotty. Death is still an enemy.

Those left behind grieve for our no longer enjoying the relationship we had, but most of us truly believe (know) that our friend is in a much better place.
Life can be short. Live it everyday!

I'm sorry, Scotty.

Had a conversation with a fellow today who believes his days are coming to a close. The thing is - none of us know. It's best to have our lives in order because all it takes is a freak accident or ??? to put an end to our earthly existence. I pray his family will be able to deal with things and that no scoundrels try to take advantage of the situation

Sorry for your loss Scotty.

I’m still reeling from Puffy passing. Others too. I figure this is just how it goes. Maybe we can appreciate things more with each lesson. God is good. Every day is a blessing.

It’s astonishing how many good folks have passed lately. Not just from stupid Covid, we are just all getting old at the same time. God help our country and the younger left behind.
