taxidermy was ready but it would be 3 more weeks before they could scrounge up a truck to deliver the large crate. Colleen wasn't having any of that so she hopped in her truck and headed to Houston. Monday morning she was at the warehouse with a trailer for the 8 foot long crate. She got back here this morning with her African mounts.
Her Cape Buffalo is a new style mount. It is pretty much one half of the buffalo and covers much of one wall. The buffalo was a monster anyway and this way it shows how actually the big boy was. One of my guys is holding it up and he is well over 6 feet tall; so that helps to realize how big the mount is. The buffalo was a big old boy who had really been fighting most of his adult life and had scars all over his face and shoulders.

We always save the back skins and have them tanned. Here is the back skin from the Buffalo.

She also got her Kudu and her Gemsbok in but I haven't fitted the horns to them yet. They come with removeable horns. More pics later.
