243 brass

It's a bit of a trick. I have made 7mm-08 from .308, you'd think a simple task. But again the brass thickness can create small issues. They worked, but lot to lot .308 brass can vary in thickness in the neck area. Whoo boy .30-30 Winchester too. You'd never notice all the brass variations until you start goofing around.

Bob Banker described to me all the variations in "belted" magnums (they are for show only - headspace on the case shoulder) belt dimensions. He was wanting to use it for actual heaspacing and he had to have his own brass worked up to actual nominal specifications.

But it's fun to try things anyway.
