Coated bullets and ported barrels/comps.

Do coated bullets foul up the ports less (or not at all), since it's kind of a polymer jacket? I'm thinking about a SW 929 for Steel Challenge, and it has a removable comp. Of course the comp may not make a noticeable difference with a given load during competition anyway...
