Lyman #429431 or RCBS 250KT ... The Keith .44 SWC

This is the only bullet I cast for the .44 Special. It just fits it fine and works well.

This even before supper I sat down at the bench and cast around 300 ... a little over 10 pounds of bullets.

I took 10 random bullets from the pile, weighed each one and averaged the weight. The average was 250.2 grains.

And they'll shoot just as good as they look.

I made it rough on some rocks at 250 and 300 yards with this bullet over 16.5 gr. of 2400. It put 'em right out there. I have never chronographed it but they feel and shoot about like my old .45 Colt 1100 fps load.

which of you guns likes this bullet??

and it's the only one I have. I always shot the .45 Colt. But since I've gotten older (not sure if I have gotten wiser) the .44 Special has become really special to me. In fact, I have found myself really liking the .38 Special also!

a special gun for you....

I dug out a box of those, Creeker cast. Someday I need to get a mold myself. This year I hope to ring the banana steel plate with one, if I can work my way up to it.
