to tinker with and customize (today) they just looked like a relatively untapped source. Rugers, Hi-walls, Martini's, Sharps all seem to command very high prices. And you can certainly find expensive Remingtons too. But I think some folks don't consider them.
I'm sitting on pins and needles awaiting the gunshop to open Tues. You know the drill, see something, think on it a spell, then have to wait when you decide to try a run at it. But I'll try to enjoy the anticipation. I've seen many nice, interesting guns for well under $1000 and my Sharps was double that AND a replica. Some I saw had at least $200 worth of tang sights alone!
Much like the Hi/Low wall there were several "sizes" of the Remington action denoted by "numbers" the big one is a No.1 and the small a No.4?
