First I have a very special Colt Combat Commander we are restoring for Tom Cooper. We did the finish work on it this past weekend and all it lacks now is the grips and Tom is deciding what he wants on the gun. When he decides we will build the grips and I will have the new pictures here. In the meantime here is Tom's "new" Colt Combat Commander.
First the frame was color cased...every gun is different with different color case colors. This one had a lot of green in it which is a bit unusual. Then we re-stamped the Colt logos on both sides of the slide which were almost completely gone. We then reblued the slide with our Black Chromex and did an action job and slicked up the interior. It turned out pretty nice.

Recently we got in a beat up Remington model 721 in 30--06. The 721 and 722 are both classics to me, Colleen has a 722 in 222 Remington, so I decided to bring this classic back to life. We completely re-did the stock, taking out all the dings and dents from normal hunting use. We added an Ivory Max forend tip and grip cap. We refinished the stock completely and did a finish like Remington would have done back in the 1950s with a soft satin sheen. We worked on the barrel and action, taking all the dings and scratches out and slicked up everything. We did our deluxe Black Chromex finish on it after putting the American Classic logo and a small amount of engraving on it. The old front sight was battered up badly so we put a new red fiber optic front sight blade on it. We added a Pachmayr Decelerator pad to it and now it is ready for another 50 years. We did well over $1300 in work on the gun bringing it back to life and the gun should now run somewhere around $1800 to $2000. The gun is specially priced at $1495.
