I know where he got it, his Father! We, like many Misfits, are of a different age. The media we grew up with was hanging out with cool old men and very smart ladies. They lived through the depression, WWII, Korea, Vietnam etc. They were men's men and knew things. How to be resourceful with what was on hand. The published magazines of the day were a luxury and received with great anticipation. They actually had articles that showed you how to do things yourself. Things that today may be seen as potential legal liabilities. I'll enjoy meeting Jim's father one eternal day.

I miss those more simple times. No computers, cellphones, or mass media. Plus, we know how, and we can live fine without those things! But we are slick enough to use these things to maximize our lives for good. All by the grace of God.

I also think we share a sense of inquisitive mindset. We want to know why things are the way they are. Just for our own knowledge. The definition of "Blessed", used so many times in the Bible, actually means "to be happy or satisfied". Having a general understanding manages both. Truly Jim and I pursue and maintain a state of being "Blessed".
