I was giving a Mozambican Pastor a ride to his house. He got into my truck and we headed down the road. Looking around he spotted a good-size fixed blade knife that I had mounted on the console by the 4WD lever. It was handy when certain folks tried to reach in the window for something.

When he saw the knife he got a funny look on his face and said, "Papa Jim, Você tem uma faca!" (Papa Jim, you have a knife!)
I said, "Yes I do."
"But, you have Jesus." he replied.
"I have Jesus and a knife." I explained.

He never brought it up again.
