I started working on the mower about 9 AM ... cleaning, greasing, checking oil, radiator fluid, hydraulic fluid, tires, air filters etc. I had just put new belts on it at the end of the season last year and they are in excellent shape.

The mower is a Scag Wildcat 61" .. like this one in the photo:

Once I had it ready I started mowing. About noon I took a break and had some lunch. Got back on the mower and finished about 2:30.

I carry the little Bearcat Shopkeep in my pocket. Handy for when I chase out a rattler or some such thing.

That's a good size patch!

I use a Bad-boy 60" and a Kubota Z125e 56" but I have lots of obstacles, trees and rocks etc. It's a pain and lots of follow up weed-eating. I'm going on strike this year and letting another "crewmember" learn the trade. Some of the inclines are tricky and dangerous, so I might relent a little, but I need some help.

My carry rig is usually a small .45 or 9mm. Flat and I'm more worried about some crack head rolling up now days. I can shoot snakes with them too though. The CCI 9mm is fantastic IF you can find it. The .45 ACP is passable up close but it locks up a DA wheelgun, being aluminum cased.

That's about half the property I mow in the photo.

It takes me several days to do weed eating if I have to do both sides of the fence lines.
