I was borrowing guns from Michael Mendes and Erik Stenberg due to my guns, clothes and all my gear being stolen in Qatar on the way to Johannesburg. So I got to camp with the clothes on my back and my carry on. I normally wear house shoes (those north of the Mason/Dixon line usually call them house slippers)when I am on a long 16 hour flight so I ended up hunting a week or more in Africa in my house shoes. And trying to walk in the Kalahari Desert in house shoes is a real trip. Having to stop every 20 feet to empty the red sand out of my shoes.
But that is why I borrowed guns from 2 friends that were there with me on the hunt.
