a large batch of my Flattop Tools tonight, among some other customer guns. For those not familiar with the Flattop Tool it is simply 2 small blocks of steel that hold 3 rounds of 22 LR ammo. About .050 of the nose of the bullet sticks out the top of one of the blocks and that is cut off with a knife or box cutter. That leaves a flat nose on the bullet. That flat nose give the standard 22 LR cartridge the power of a 22 Magnum.
In the pic the small hole on the right is from a standard 22 LR round. The large hole on the left is from a 22 LR cartridge from the same box after going thru the Flattop Tool. It gives a much larger wound and duplicates a 22 Magnum in power.

This pic shows a combo tool that we played around with that held 3 rounds of 22 LR and 3 of the 22 Short. We are not building that tool these days but it shows the nose of the bullet sticking out that needs to be cut off.
[image] We are also building a small batch of the Flattop Tool in 22 Short. They will be available probably later this week.
If all goes well I will have the 22 LR Flattop Tool ready to be shipped tomorrow. Our price is still $75 for this batch but that may change as I get the next batch of steel that has been ordered for a good while. This batch of steel was paid for months ago so it may be the last bunch of the Flattop Tool at that price. With 22 Magnum extremely hard to find the Flattop Tool will solve that problem by converting the 22 LR to the same power.
Another pic and again the small hole is the standard 22 LR and the other larger hole from a cartridge converted thru the Flattop Tool.

If you want one or more of the tools call our gun shop and order it thru Colleen or Terry. 928-527-4100..
