My brother-in-law had a dairy farm. He had lots of cats because people would just drop off cats that they didn't want thinking that "Hey, the farmer will take care of them". My brother-in-law did have a soft heart and took care of the cats. They got all the milk they wanted at milking time, but that was about it. My brother-in-law also had a pigeon problem. I'd go by with my Winchester 9422 to shoot a few pigeons. One of the cats; a big gray one named Charlie, would come running when he saw me with the rifle. He would follow me around the barn yard waiting for me to shoot a pigeon, almost to the point of crawling up on my shoulder and saying "Fat one, third from the left.." When I would shoot one on the peak of the barn roof, it would roll down and finally drop to the ground... But they didn't make it to the ground as Charlie would grab them out of the air before the hit the ground. Charlie really did like his pigeon dinners, and I enjoyed his following me around the barn yard....
