Aha it finally came.

Invitations were finally sent out and received last week for the 20th Elmer Keith Memorial Long Range Handgun Shoot. This is an invitational shoot that I've been trying to attend for the last several years, but with work it has been impossible. I'm hoping to make arrangements to change that this year.

Will DeRuyter has been putting this on for 19 seasons. This should be the 22nd annual but with covid he decided to cancel the last two years, and with this being the last year he will host, I really want to try and attend.

This will be the short range year this year. They shoot into a Winter Wheat field which is in crop this year so ranges will only go out to 200 yards or so. On the fallow years where there is vehicle access they go out to 600+ yards.

The shoot is held about 20 miles South of Spokane, WA, so about a 2 hour drive for me. Friday is setting up targets and sighting in, shooting for score will be all day Saturday followed with lots of food.
