What odd projects do ya'll have in waiting?

The saga of my doing a little swapping with CCW is ongoing. SIG's give me a headache. Too many choices and then you can swap all sorts of things around on the 320 platform. They kind of got you. What you want is typically NOT a line item. So you have to order grip modules and mags to end up with your Goldilocks handgun. What a brilliant marketing ploy. I like the gun but for the extra money it feels like a prissed up M&P. That flat faced trigger is the one to have ($60 as an accessory) as is the X-type grip module ($60 also, in plastic). They are now offering "Tungsten" infused modules with external grips at a premium cost. I still like the Beretta 92x and like one of the Misfits cursed me with a suggestion "just get both", I'm working on it. I'm short on disposable (maybe better described as - deferrable) cash so I'm having to trade around.

The only thing I have at Reeder's right, now since he's so covered up, is an old M83 FA .454 I sent to have Stag'd and Round-butted into a Gunfighter style. I figured on the rare occasion I actually shot a full house .454, it might keep the small trigger guard off my knuckle. Plus who wants a FA that looks exactly like every one else's?! Prices have lately gone literally through the roof!!!

I have GOT to get back to casting. It's such a economical and peaceful hobby. I literally blew up an oven doing the powder coating (it's a long story) but had plans to experiment with soft lead projectiles. In hopes the powder coat plastic jacket would prevent leading. Mainly the idea was to have a small meplat FMJ profile bullet that showed good expansion, 124-147 gr. My platform of focus was to be .38 Special and 9mm, one bullet for both. I also have a two part .375 rifle bullet mould for making a home built soft point, for the .378 GNR! And casting for the 6mm AI rifle and GNR handguns (.240 Raptor and .240 Banshee).

It's snake season too. I've never been impressed with the dismal performance of the .410 Revolver nor commercial offerings. CCI makes some pretty good if you roll your own and I have a supply of those capsules that are so spotty to find. Of CCI's factory offerings the .22 WMR, 9mm Luger, and .38/.44, .45 ACP are the best. Forget the 22 LR and .40 S&W, it's wasting your time. *Never shoot one of the rimless aluminum cased rounds from your "moon clip" revolver. It WILL lock up!

Lastly I have a HBAR that I like, but by golly my favorite is the 20" A2 version with a "pencil" barrel. The balance is so nice and it FEELS 2 lbs. lighter. In truth it's only a few ounces. A few retro pencil barrels have become available again and I probably should snag one to do a swap.
