if you had a Model 29-3 with a 4" barrel in the shop that has been fired so little that you can barely see the turn ring on the cylinder, about what would it retail for? Has the original box.

and have been building custom guns since 1979, but my experience with model 29s is totally different from the mad house selling and buying of guns these days. I bought Colleen a 4" model 29 for her first trip to Africa and she carried it on her hip every day. I don't remember her shooting anything with it but it was there.

Anyway if it were 5 years ago I would put that 4" model 29 at around $800 to about $900. Today's prices are way out of bounds with the 4" model 29 going for $1700 to $2000. I don't see the prices changing unless this country goes into a deep recession and we have riots and a breakdown of civil order. If the SHTF then that gun will be worth more than ever.

I retired from radio in 1985 and got into my own gun shop in 1985. Started building custom guns in 1987. My gun shop was in Sarasota Florida and I had several working for me including Colleen and Kase. The gun shop was 4500 Sq. feet so they handled the gun shop and my gun smith Mike Thompson and I handled the custom guns. We did much like our HHC as we booked a hunt somewhere in the world every 8 weeks. We took 4 to 12 people on each of our hunts. We have been highly blessed since day one and traveled a lot on our hunts.

Plus 30 years in Africa and 80 critters taken there and all except the caribou in Canada and one deer in Ohio were taken with handguns. If I were to die tonight I would go with no regrets as I have been blessed way beyond what I deserve in the way of good friends and the hunts they joined me on. God bless all of you.
