unlke the 50 BMG that blew and almost killed Scott. It was ammo, You could see it sling rounds up down all around, which at the time I wondered about the pressures having done some of that on my -- unintended of course. Any way it messed him up pretty bad

Mercifully that .500 is blowing about

30-40 grs. of smokeless out the end of the barrel unburned. It's uncle Gary's safety cushion. lol

The full on performance of a .500 Nitro pushing a 570 (burning completely 110 grs.) at 2150 in a 10 lb. rifle is not to be taken lightly. Ditto a .50 BMG with a 700 at 2700 fps using up some 250 grs. of powder, in a 25 lb. scoped Serbu.
