Yesterday I stopped by a sporting goods shop to check out some turkey loads. I figure that since that season will start up soon it might be prudent to add a couple boxes of turkey loads to my stock.
I was in a state of shock to say the least when I saw the prices of some of the specialty turkey loads.
the new TSS round, sold in 5 shot boxes, runs $85. Basically, that is $17 bucks a shot!
The other issue is the idea of taking unethical shots for wild turkey. They are pushing the idea that you can take a 70 plus yard shot. I wonder how many birds will be crippled and lost not to mention any birds nearby to be wounded.
Nevertheless, I was kind of shocked .
