... made me think... many ppl likely love the hinged revolvers that expose the entire rear of cylinder and eject, but are not excited about the low pressure cartridges you are stuck with because of the relatively weak locking mechanism a fraction of an inch away from that pressure.
Successful designs already exist for high pressure rounds firing from the bottom of cyl taking advantage of the strength of main gun mass, with recoil benefits also.
With clever design is it possible to combine the two elements and have a 'unique' and probably ugly revolver... has it been done before?
