Kimber Ultra Carry vs. Ruger Officers Model vs. Colt Defender.
All in .454 ACP. Which would be the best all around carry gun?

selling on their name and are not as well made or dependable as the Ruger. If I had to bet my life on one of them it would be the Ruger.

10mm and found it to be a well made handgun and if their Compact model is made the same you will have a good one. I also bought a Colt Defender, when they first came out, and have to say I`ve not had any malfunctions except that when the last empty shell ejects it will more often that not hit my forehead otherwise she`s functioned good....

I own many 1911. From Ruger officer 9mm, light weight commander 45, and full size 10mm.
I also own some “high end” 1911s from Kimber, Colt , Para, and even a couple Rock island armory pistols.
I’m always very humbled when I prefer to handle, carry, and shoot my Rugers over the others that I paid almost double for. RIA too makes some of the finest pistols compared to the expensive competitors
