They raffle it off or auction it off and it usually gets them 4 or 5 thousand dollars. The dinner is in a couple of weeks and we have been working on a custom Super Redhawk. Here is the gun so far, about 2/3 finished.

polishing that beast to a mirror stainless finish like that! I can appreciate that, and the time it took for the etching lay out. Keeping things straight is a burden anytime, much less finding things to fit the odd areas. Kudos!

a special acid and template and then go back over it with a cutting tool and Gravermeister. That part is done totally by hand. On large caliber guns I don't like to take any metal out of either the gun or the cylinder so quite often I just etch the design in. But everything is done by hand, no machine etching.
