Reeder Custom Guns - Well I guess chuck season opened today.

Wanted to go out and ding my steel plate a little this morning so I grabbed the Coyote Classic in 218 Mashburn Bee. A couple of these guys made better targets. Didn't do much plate shooting.

Drove around and checked a few other spots, they are all holding chucks but these were the only two I shot at.

Even recovered a bullet from the second one. I was shooting down hill pretty good at him and saw the bullet strike in the dirt after passing through and was able to dig it up.

Also saw a nest of Great Horned Owls. At least that's what I think they were.

Those owls are so pretty and yet so deadly! We had some kittens that could have attested to that, had they lived.

Yes real happy with the performance and accuracy I'm getting with this set up.

of weight. I have changed alloy recently for these bullets, but I have seen some devastating results with bullets that come apart. When they do this inside of something it really misses them up. For me either bullet is good, this one is just a little more accurate.

But people that shoot them too early, before the pups can take care of them selves don't have shooting for long. Our season (BIL and me) insures we have chucks next year.

in and pretty much shut down our varmint hunting. They put them in a season and gave us 3 months (I think it is) to hunt varmints and they are trying to stop us from hunting Coyotes. They say the Coyotes don't hurt the deer herd, that they just eat berries and such. As it is about 2% of our deer herd lives thru their first year. Unfortunately our game & fish is all political and they just roll over and let the liberals tell them what to do.

hi mark , been wanting to have gary convert a rugergp100 in 22 to center fire and was thinking 22k hornet . your 218 looks pretty accurate, is there much difference/ thanks

Right now I don't have and can't get the small parts needed for that conversion on a DA revolver. We have quite a few orders based on Redhawks and Super Redhawks that I am trying to get the customer switched to one of our custom beefier single action frames to complete their order. So far several have switched but others are thinking about it. What all this comes down to is I can't do most conversions on double action revolvers right now due to a lack of the parts I need. We can take 44 mag Redhawks and Super Redhawks in 44 mag and convert them to 429 GNR using the original cylinder and such as that but no 5 shot double action cylinders right now.

The 218 M.B. with a cast 50 grain bullet gives me 1,900+ fps and accuracy I am very happy with. It is perfect for what I want to do.
