of the barrel. Maybe this will shut up the idiots that rave about the JM proof mark. I had one fellow call about the new 1895 45-70 right after Ruger released it. He asked if it had the JM proof mark. I told him no. He said he would pass on it if it didn't have the JM proof mark because the JM proof mark meant it was a good rifle.

retaining the "bullseye" on the buttstock. The red enter I like also as it makes me think of the passing of Sturm that Bill Ruger made note to acknowledge. Overall a very classy well thought out piece. The details like the rear sight dovetail filler and Skinner rear sight, good going.
Wow, quite a price tag

I read a review somewhere in which the idiot "gunriter" praised the Marlin horse/rider etching on the bottom of the pistol grip as a Winchester mark. And I assume he got paid to write that. Geeze.

how many brain cells they have to rub together. They don't even know what that JM stands for, just that it's got to be there or "it ain't a good rifle".
Lusted for one of those for a while
