of the barrel. Maybe this will shut up the idiots that rave about the JM proof mark. I had one fellow call about the new 1895 45-70 right after Ruger released it. He asked if it had the JM proof mark. I told him no. He said he would pass on it if it didn't have the JM proof mark because the JM proof mark meant it was a good rifle.
