My son cast these for a friend of his to shoot in his 45-70 and he gave me a few, I wanted to try them in the 455 GNR when it comes back from getting a 27,000 round check up.
Jason did not remember the mould number and after a little research I came up with the Lyman 457122. I hope somebody can correct me if that is not the case. It is a single cavity mould that drops a 345 gr. hollow point bullet (advertised at 330 grs.) with the alloy they were using and a .461 base band diameter.
These bullets are 50 to 80 grs. heavier than I usually shoot but just need to try a few.
