Tinkering never stops...

so I made a plunge and traded around and got that new 320 X-Carry. It's a nice rig. Feels a little bulky, more so than a G19. It is basically a shorter slide atop a full size grip. ON that topic SIG's with their swapable lower modules. The basic gun comes with a "M" medium module. They are available in S, M, L if you want something different, width wise. Also insert weights for different characteristics in feel or recoil. Not that I was interested in that feature.

The front of the gun also feels a bit large with the rail. The lengths can be changed with model to a degree but the height is all the same. A Glock is tapered in this area hence it's more compact feel. I was grumping about the full size 17 rnd. grip on the X-Carry. No worries, I can buy a "S" module for the X-Compact that's 15 rounds (shorter) and enjoy a more compact (shorter & thinner grip) semi-custom rig. BUT the rail portion is still fat. Again a possibility to alter. Since the modules are only $60 or so self induced surgery is another possibility. You could taper the end and retain a notch or two or really get busy and re-shape eliminating the rail altogether on a custom module. Just remember this might alter holster retention on some styles of rigs. I've seen some guys take hot irons to the plastic and whatever floats your boat. The module texture is really agreeable to me.

It seems there is lots of room for playing. It's just not as fun as some older types of platforms that are classic. Maybe it's me. I just need to begin plotting mischief.
