That's what I struggle with, smaller or actual combat guns

The G48/43, like the wonderful SIG 365 are not in the same class as the 320. While absolutely lovely, their standard capacities are 10/12 rnds. which is plenty and commendable. The 320, like others is 17 with a 21 rnd. mag that just sticks out a little. It's made to carry AND shoot the crap out of.

What perplexes me is how far we've come. Compare say a 365XL 15 shot to a HP 15 shot. Size and weight are totally different. So is shootability. That's where the 320, G19 or any other slightly reduced size full combat gun, comes into play.

I'm wondering how my personal performance on target would turn out under great stress between one of those super sweet petite carry guns vs a handy combat semi-auto. The former I've carried and forgot I even had it, the later and it's ilk, never. Maybe I need to just see. I also have some like the Taurus G2 that is the smaller size-plus and can use extended 17 rnd. mags. That clouds the matter further still.

They all are great.

My creation of mind. 320 X-carry with X-Compact module (15-shot) and a little grinding on the front of the rails. Although in real life the Carry slide sticks out just a bit past the Compact rails. It's just blocky unless you mod it. Wilson markets the combo to order, with their styling cues, at great expense. There is no denying the SIG ergonomics or trigger though.

Shorter grip, ground rail front.

A hybrid of sorts. Maybe it's ok, a $60 question, with $40 mag.
