In my travels I came across a Frog Lube CLP, vet owned supposedly. Is it good for use as a gun cleaner and long term preservative or is it something I should get rid of? Any one know?

Have not used myself, but know people that had trouble with-

had guns lock up on me in cold weather when I use a regular liquid/fluid lube. So I keep my guns dry in all types of weather. All liquid/fluid lube does is gather dust, sand, and grit that we encounter every day and it turns into a grinding compound and ruins your gun. Keep it dry and it will always work. Your gun is not a frog so keep it dry.

I use CLO, one drop will do almost a whole handgun

Once applied it can’t be wiped off. A microscopic layer remains, it’s good stuff when used as directed. I like my guns more dry than wet anyway. One bottle lasts me years.

However I admit I've never been on a firearm laden arctic expedition. I've never had one of those finishes that it stained either. It makes Glocks a prettier dark for a good while. It really makes that Reeder Black Chromex shiny!

Interesting Info Here
