couple of customer's guns just finished

First I have Robert Worden's El Diablo. This is our most popular series right now and Robert's is one of 5 or 6 orders for it. His new El Diablo is chambered in 44 Special with a 4" barrel. It has our deluxe Black Chromex finish with gold bands and gold accents. It has the full Positive Performance Package and is very accurate. It has a set of ivory Corian grips Nate made and fit to the Gunfighter Grip. It has the full engraving as normal and is slick and smooth. Another really nice El Diablo.

Next is a Colt New Service for good friend Jim Grosser. The gun was in pretty rough shape but we took care of that. Jim wanted a full action job on it plus some special engraving. Among that were 6 family names that we engraved on each of the 6 cylinder flats. Jim also wanted the Ford logo engraved on it. He wanted Mongolian Stag grips made for it and the deluxe Black Chromex finish. All in all a really nice old Colt. One strange thing is while I was polishing the gun it looked like some pitting in the flutes. Nate and I got a magnifying glass out and instead of pits each flute had a proof mark down in the flute. The Brits must have taken proof marking real serious back then. The same proof marks were on the barrel. The gun was originally 455 Eley but rechambered along the way into 45 Long Colt. I enjoy bringing old classics back to life and this one was no exception. Any smears you might see are a light coating of oil.
