Based upon my suppressor use and how they work

That type of mounting would not be very assuring. You really need a solid mounting so the bullet will be concentric with the bore of the unit. You don't want to hit any of the "guts" in there. Suppressor hunting is becoming increasingly popular. I shot a full power .308 and .300 Winchester Magnum suppressed and it really enhanced the experience. No more "wet towel slap in the face" from muzzle blast wash. The supersonic crack was more downrange, while not actually quiet, a .300 Magnum that sounds like a .22 WMR rifle is a real hoot. My .22LR with std. vel ammo sounds like a low powered pellet gun. Maybe a Crossman with about 3-pumps in it. Rifle or pistol. No one talks about cleaning them, that is a pain! They get dirty fast.

It will take about 6+ months of your life and $500-1500 cash to begin that experience.

I think he is talking about a flash suppressor, not

a really fine Mini-14 combination flash hider and front sight assy. Sort of looked like a M-14 service rifle. It was not cheap but beat the snot out of that cheap Mini-14 blade thing.

If that is not it at least that is some useful info for someone. Might want to check it out.

SORRY NONE
