I'm very careful to have the trigger guard covered and never have anything else in that pocket, ever. Mostly I use a pocket "holster" by Mika. Otherwise I use plastic IWB that sport a sweat shield extension (I like the Appendex no-cant angle for this personally) or a Kangaroocarry rig. I have many holsters but for concealment these are what I use.

For a cheap field holster I like the Blackhawk Serpa rigs with retention buttons for semi-autos.

Like it. Since I lost some weight I wear a belly band low on my his and appendix carry a single stack nine. It hides easy under a tshirt easy in the summer and it doesn’t bump the gun everything when I sit down or get in the jeep like my iwb. Works good with a small thin gun. Easy to retrieve even with a seat belt on, doesn’t print when I bend over in a store. A lot of pluses for me. Ymmv
