I'm very careful to have the trigger guard covered and never have anything else in that pocket, ever. Mostly I use a pocket "holster" by Mika. Otherwise I use plastic IWB that sport a sweat shield extension (I like the Appendex no-cant angle for this personally) or a Kangaroocarry rig. I have many holsters but for concealment these are what I use.
For a cheap field holster I like the Blackhawk Serpa rigs with retention buttons for semi-autos.
