The re-gripping of the mighty .454!

I must say it’s even more impressive in person. Balancing the bark on both sides, was an unusual feat. Also it does not feel like it will be abrasive in the slightest. The stock M83 grip has a little flare at the back, feels pretty good. But I personally think this positions the gun to flip in recoil more than it would otherwise. The round butting and wider than factory stocks, less round in profile, hold recoil more straight back. I predict less violent muzzle whip and with more contact area, less felt recoil. Of course the thunderous blast is like getting gobsmacked with a wet towel. Not much can be done if that.

I wanted a unique and custom .454 in my collection and GNR delivered beyond expectation. I had mis-matched the sights a bit with a square notch rear and gold bead front. It allows more than usual light on the sides of the front sight picture and a very precise narrow post/bead. I think I like it.
