it was interesting to watch the gas prices. Near Pryor, OK gas was in the $4.29 to $4.49 range. At Chouteau, OK the Love's station had gas for $3.99. As we got closer to Texas we began seeing gas for $3.89 ... $3.79 ... below Denton, TX gas was $3.69. Then as we got closer to Dallas the prices started back up in the mid $4 range. In Dallas I saw gas for $4.89. Closer to home it seems to be running in $4.39 to $4.69 range. Weird how it is more than a dollar a gallon different in a few hundred miles.

Got home this afternoon around 2 ... was 106 in the shade on the back porch. With the heat and high gas prices I sorta feel like I never left Africa. Add in corrupt and incompetent political parties and .....

we averaged $5.16 in Eastern Wa. A bit cheaper in the Tri Cities 45 miles to the south. My wife usually tries to fill up at Costco when in the Cities.

Still here at $5 a gallon. Some feel sorry for us and drop

it to $4.89 for about 5 minutes. All the Shell stations here have been bought out by Marathon and they stay at $4.99.

4.99 9/10 sounds much better than $5

Lowest I have seen in a good while. That's for regular.

Never thought I'd be happy to see gas at $4.39

Between $4.45 a gallon to $4.79 for the cheap unleaded which my truck seems to like the most.

On a side note, I see the " I did that" stickers from time to time.

5.17 at the pump this morning in SE Idaho

Before taking off for a long stretch I'll check various towns along the way to see what prices are like, makes choosing where to fill up a bit easier. We've not seen anything under $3.999 since leaving SW MO a week ago. Here in NW CO prices are too close to $5 for comfort.
